We couldn't agree on a deal back then, but recently, I was checking their website inventory and noticed that they had one last 2011 Cooper S that was on an internet sale. It was too good of a deal to pass up, and I contacted Adam once again, by email then by phone, who gave me the info I needed before deciding on making the trip to the dealer (~100 miles) to test drive the vehicle I was looking at. Adam has continued to be very helpful and professional before and after I purchased my new MINI. 1.5"Normally I have good luck getting my car taken care of, but this was not MINI service at its finest. I brought the car in initially for (1) a regular service, and (2) to have a couple of seatbelts looked at, as they were not rolling back in properly. I came in on a Saturday, and got a call later that day saying that the seatbelts needed to be replaced, and parts needed to be ordered, could I leave the car? It was a holiday weekend, so I left my car over the weekend to be finished up on Monday. On Monday, though, the work was not done--or, rather, only one of the two seatbelts was replaced. When I arrived near the end of the day, I was told that they had "discovered" a problem with the rear seatbelt that still needed to be addressed--a problem that I had noted, and asked them to look at, when I brought it in. They asked me to leave the car again. Needing it for work, I had to decline but made an appointment to bring it back in the following Saturday. The following Saturday, I got a call late in the day saying that the replacement part for the rear seatbelt needed to be ordered, and could I leave it again to be finished later in the week. Still needing a car to drive to work, I went in to pick it up; at that point the service rep offered to arrange to pick up my car on Tuesday, after the part came in, and leave a loaner with me. On Tuesday I got a call saying it would be Wednesday instead. I agreed, but said I absolutely had to have my car back by COB on Wednesday, because I had a trip to make on Thursday. I was told no problem. By the end of the day Wednesday my car was not ready. I kept the loaner on Thursday and Friday, and drove it back to the dealership Saturday morning, where I got my own car back with the repairs finally made. The holdover from Saturday to Monday on the initial trip is perfectly understandable--sometimes parts need to be ordered. But pretty much everything else was a headache. While I do appreciate the pick-up of my car and the drop-off of the loaner, it would have been far better for it not to have come to that. As a final note, I realize the car wash is a courtesy, so I can't complain too much, but it was half-hearted at best. The car looked better, but still wasn't really clean." 2.5"The amount of time to check my vehicle in was unacceptable (approx. 20 minutes). I have been there before and my information should be on record. My advisor was very slow (possibly a new person?) and seemed very unsure of the process. I brought my car in for a key that wasn't working, I already knew it wasn't working and was charged for the assessment of the key. I chose not to purchase a new key because I do not live near the dealership and was told a new key cannot be mailed, nor can it be picked up by someone else. So I will use my key in manual mode. The other problem with the vehicle was the i-pod adapter which came apart and the quote was $380. 5.0"I received an email stating that I needed to scheudle an appointment. So I did. Turns out I didn't need maintenance, it was a marketing push to get me into the dealership. The marketing firm who pushed the email out did not share their campaign with the dealership so they were caught off guard and agreed with me that there was no misinterpretation on my part about the email. It clearly said to bring my car in. Although I didn't need service, they did a compimentary car wash AND discovered my wiper blades needed replacing, which they did free of charge on both items. I totally understand their position. The marketing firm is not connected with them, but unfortunately, they are customer facing so they have to clean up the mess by the marketing firm. They did that and more. I left them with a clean car and photo copies of my email so they could address the issue with their higher ups. My experience always has been exceptional at the Concord BMW/Mini dealer. They made a bad situation good, considering they had nothing to do with the misunderstanding. 2.5"I waited 40 minutes after my morning arrival before a mini specialist was ready to sign me in. I waited for my car. It was promised to be a rush and i'd receive it by 1. At 1:45 when I called them, I noticed on my order form, they had written down a different car discription (color, license plate, etc did not belong to me). I had 30 minutes worrying while waiting for the mechanic to call me back to insure me he did indeed work on my car or that he did not. Finally I called back and waited on line until someone gave me the answers I needed. They said they noticed the mix-up and performed the duties what what to be done, but I drove off the lot and it didn't feel any different. Even with the new brake pads.. breaking doesn't feel any different. The windshield wipers don't appear new and the car wash (i realize it was complimentary) but it was done so quickly, my windshield had the towel dry strokes so badly, I had to rewet my windshield/use my wipers so I could see into the sun... while driving." 5.0"Concord MINI was awesome -- they got me in right away when my "check engine" light went on (as opposed to San Francisco MINI which didn't have apppointments for 3 weeks!). Diagnosis was prompt, and my car was ready much sooner than predicted (that evening as opposed to the next day). The wheel alignment and fuel injection clean-out were so awesome (my MINI totally hugs the road and I get so much more oomf from the accelerator) that I've decided to keep my MINI (I was thinking of getting something else since it's so hard to get in for service in San Francisco)." 2.0"The whole process took too long to get warrantee approval. I dropped my mini off on Monday afternoon and it took a week to get approval to fix. After approval it only took one day to fix. I couldn't get a loaner car because none available. I was without a car for over a week. This was a brand new car! After we got the car home the right turn indicator was not working and now I have to schedule another repair. This is very stressful being around holidays without a car."
